Legislative Working Committees Featured

Legislative Working Committees are "the pipeline" for people with disabilities, family members, and advocates to network and receive information about disabilities-related legislation.

Legislative Working Committees are not "owned" by any one group but are supported by many individuals and organizations that care about people with disabilities. The goal of Legislative Working Committees is to educate people with disabilities, family members, and advocates about the Legislative process, disability-related Legislation, and the protocol for communicating with State Senators and Representatives.

During the 2017 Legislative Session, the Protection and Advocacy Project (P & A) will be holding weekly Legislative Working Committee (LWC) meetings.  Meetings will be held state-wide via the Interactive Video Network (IVN) Every Friday, 3:15 – 4:45 p.m. CST. The LWC meetings are a means to discuss disability-related issues during the 2017 Legislative Session.  For a list of the IVN locations for the meetings, visit their site at: http://www.ndpanda.org/legal/committees.html.
