This skill book explains expository, persuasive, pro/con, and comparing and contrasting essays, and provides specific guidelines and hands-on exercises for writing each one. Also provides guidance on how to develop a thesis statement, support facts, stay focused, and check work. Quizzes and other hands-on exercises encourage practice. Ideal for all students ages 14 and up, including college freshmen and sophomores.
