Parents Matter was created in whole by Angela Maiers, an entrepreneur and educator, whose transformative message of the importance of mattering has the power to unleash the genius in us all. Parents Matter It is NOT a curriculum, it is a change in our mindset, moving us past activities focusing more on involvement into building relationships and connections; what true engagement looks like. Parents need to be seen, be heard, and to feel that they matter.
Parents matter offers 6 implementation sessions and 10 facilitation family trainings. Schools have the flexibility to choose the training delivery method (Virtual or Hybrid) and at their desired delivery pace (once a month, in two sessions, or 6 sessions in one day - during a teacher development workshop).
This program is open to all faculty members at your school. Anyone who works directly with families will benefit from the information that will be shared.
